Jukin Media to Launch New Content Brand with Leading Japanese MCN UUUM

The Companies Will Cooperate to Launch “Video Pizza,” An Entertainment Destination for Japanese Audiences

 

 

LOS ANGELES -- 2/21/2017 -- Jukin Media is launching a new brand to add to its portfolio of owned and operated social video properties. Jukin is partnering with UUUM, Japan’s leading YouTube influencer network with more than one third of Japan’s top 100 video creators, to launch a new UGC-based social video brand tailored for Japanese audiences. UUUM receives 2+ billion monthly views in Japan alone, and was cofounded by Japan’s top YouTuber Hikakin.

The new brand will join FailArmy, JukinVideo, People Are Awesome, and The Pet Collective in Jukin’s portfolio, which boasts more than 55 million total fans across platforms, and more than 1.5 billion monthly views.

Called “ビデオピッツァ-- “Video Pizza” in English -- the brand will be built in the mold of Jukin’s existing brands with creatively packaged UGC videos as the centerpiece of the programming strategy, but will feature Japanese talent and will be produced specifically for the Japanese viewer.

UUUM will be responsible for day-to-day production and channel management for the brand, while Jukin will provide tactical and strategic guidance, and access to its library of 35,000+ hand-selected, engaging video clips.

Video Pizza will first focus on YouTube, with plans to expand to other video platforms, OTT services, and eventually, linear TV.
